Shimano's Hi-Power X technology was added in the Trevala PX, giving its reinforcement and strength, but also its twist resistance under a load of a fish or jig/lure. Hi-Power X assists with the resistance of rod ovalization under load, helping to keep the blank in a more traditional circular form, which oftentimes will result in power loss. An improved Fuji or Shimano CI4 reel seat is equipped on the Trevala PX, as well as SeaGuide XQG or XOG Guides for durability when fishing braided line.
